A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT FIELD OFFICE III, REPRESENTED BY ITS REGIONAL DIRECTOR, GEMMA D. GABUYA AS REGARDS TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPPLEMENTAL FEEDING PROGRAM AND OTHER PROJECTS TO ACCOMPLISH THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS IN THE CITY OF OLONGAPO

            WHEREAS, to accomplish the country’s developmental plans for inclusive growth, poverty reduction, eradicate hunger and other challenges affecting the young populace, Olongapo City deems that a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office III is absolutely necessary;

            WHEREAS, such initiative will pave way for their implementation to address the needs of our citizens, particularly indigent families and spur significant growth in the City;

            WHEREAS, the said programs include Supplementary Feeding Program and other support programs and services spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD);

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor,  Honorable Rolen C. Paulino to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office III, represented by its Regional Director, Gemma D. Gabuya as regards to the implementation of supplemental feeding program and other projects to accomplish the Millennium Development Goals in the City of Olongapo.
