A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER, EXECUTE, AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE MANILA TIMES COLLEGE OF SUBIC (TMTCS)  FOR THE IMMERSION OF THEIR SENIOR HIGH, RESEARCH STUDENTS FOR THEIR PRACTICUM AND ON-THE-JOB TRAINING STARTING SCHOOL YEAR 2016, IN COMPLIANCE TO DEPED ORDER NO. 4, SERIES OF 2014

WHEREAS, the Local Government Unit of Olongapo City represented by the Honorable City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino, along with its cooperating agencies, manifest its desire and commitment to serve as partner of The Manila Times College Of Subic (TMTCS) in the implementation of its Senior High School (SHS) Program which will make available industries and livelihood areas in the city and provide for students’ immersion during practicum, research and on-the-job training;

WHEREAS, The Manila Times College Of Subic (TMTCS) represented by Dr. Isagani R. Cruz, Ph. D, College President, in compliance to DepEd Order No. 04, Series of 2014 (Guidelines on the Preparation for the National Implementation of the Senior High School (SHS) Program in Non-DepEd Schools for the School Year (SY) 2016-2017 and Onwards) and R.A. No. 10533 otherwise known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 which mandated the implementation of the K to 12 Program, offers Senior High School (SHS) Program on School Year 2016-2017 and onwards;

WHEREAS, TMTCS will be offering Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program specializing in Health Sciences and Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM);

            WHEREAS, the said specialization program will require exposure on the job training of Senior High School students;

            WHEREAS, with mutual covenant of both parties, they enter into this Memorandum of Agreement under terms and conditions as stated;

WHEREAS, this agreement shall be effective for a period on twenty four (24) months commencing on AY 2016-2017 and shall renewable upon mutual agreement of both parties;

WHEREAS, both parties likewise covenant to faithfully abide and comply with their corresponding obligations stipulated in the agreement.

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilors Benjamin G. Cajudo II and Eduardo G. Guerrero, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor, Hon. Rolen C. Paulino to enter, execute and sign  a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)with The Manila Times College Of Subic (TMTCS)  for the immersion of their Senior High, Research Students for their Practicum and On-The-Job Training Starting School Year 2016, in compliance to Deped Order No 4, Series Of 2014.

            Let a copy of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) be made as integral part of this Resolution.
