A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO, EXECUTE, AND SIGN IN BEHALF OF JAMES L. GORDON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL (JLGMH) FOR THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE MANILA TIMES COLLEGE OF SUBIC (TMTCS) AS AFFILIATING HOSPITAL FOR INTERNSHIP OF DOCTOR OF MEDICINE, IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

           

WHEREAS,  The Manila Times College of Subic (TMTCS), is a duly recognized institution by the Commission on Higher Education, represented by Isagani R. Cruz Ph. D, College President;

WHEREAS, the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital (JLGMH),is  a tertiary government health care facility managed by the City Government of Olongapo, existing pursuant to the laws of the Republic of the Philippines; and is represented by Hon. Rolen C. Paulino, City Mayor;

WHEREAS, there is an increasing demand for health professionals in the global market that led to the growing number of health science programs offered by institutions and health workers;

WHEREAS, part of the Doctor of Medicine curriculum the students had to undergo clinical clerkship in a Level III accredited training hospital in the Fourth Year;

WHEREAS, TMTCS expresses their intent for JLGMH to be their based hospital for the Internship of Doctor of Medicine;

WHEREAS, JLGMH accepts the requests for internship of Doctor of Medicine students;

WHEREAS, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, terms and conditions are stipulated on the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), and are agreed upon by both parties.

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilors Benjamin G. Cajudo, II and Eduardo G. Guerrero, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

            RESOLVED, AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize as it herby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino to enter into, execute, and sign in behalf of the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital (JLGMH) for the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with The Manila Times College of Subic (TMTCS) as affiliating hospital for internship of Doctor of Medicine, in a manner consistent with law.
