A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING
AND COMMENDING PRECIOUS DERAIN, LOVELLA JOIE STO. DOMINGO AND RANNIE LEI MAGNO
FOR BEING RECOGNIZED AS THE REGIONAL WINNERS FOR OUTSTANDING STUDENT CREATIVE
RESEARCH-HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
WHEREAS, the entry of Regional Science High School for the
2015 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (Project RICE) entitled “iflood:
Improvised Flood Alarm and Warming Device” was recognized as the Regional
Winner for Outstanding Creative Research – High School Level;
WHEREAS, Precious Derain, Lovella Joie Sto. Domingo and
Rannie Lei Magno, all Grade 10 students of Regional Science High School
composed the outstanding team;
WHEREAS, the three outstanding students were the tutelage of
Mrs. Juvie Arevalo and Mr. Michael Abarro, under the supervision of their
principal Dr. Eva P. Unay;
WHEREAS, the Regional
Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE) is a nationwide activity conducted in
different regions to recognize the indispensability of the Filipino inventors
in the Philippine society and in the landscape of national economic
development;
WHEREAS, Student
Creative Research for College and High School refers to new and innovative
projects/models developed by college and high school students that should
possess features and characteristics that may have significant contribution to
the promotion of Science and Technology innovations that are not contrary to
public order, morals, public health, and welfare;

WHEREAS, Project
RICE was held on August 25-27, 2015 at Walter Mart, San Agustin, City of San
Fernando, Pampanga;
WHEREAS, Sangguniang
Panlungsod recognizes and yields support for the students’ invention that could
help save lives and properties of the people of Olongapo City;
NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord
of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by
the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to congratulate and commend,
as it hereby congratulates and commends Precious Derain, Lovella Joie Sto.
Domingo and Rannie Lei Magno for being recognized as the Regional Winners for
Outstanding Student Creative Research-High School Level by the Department of
Science and Technology.
RESOLVED
FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution
be furnished to Precious Derain, Lovella Joie Sto.
Domingo and Rannie Lei Magno for records purposes.
