A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
BOTTOM-UP-BUDGETING (BUB)
FY 2017 PROJECTS FOR THE CITY OF
OLONGAPO
WHEREAS,
the National
Government through the Human Development and Poverty Reduction Cluster (HDPRC)
and Good Governance and Anti-Corruption Cluster (GGACC) launched the
Bottom-Up-Budgeting (BUB) exercise. The
strategy hopes to empower civil society organizations and citizens’ groups to
engage local government and national government agencies and make them more
responsive to the people’s needs;
WHEREAS,
the attached BUB FY 2017 projects of Olongapo City were built-up from the
discussion and assessment during the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Assembly
on October 28, 2015 and Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT) Workshop on
December 01, 2015 and were validated by the Regional Poverty Reduction Action
Team (RPRAT) on January 13-14, 2016;
WHEREAS,
the City of Olongapo as one of the beneficiaries of the projects under the Bottom-Up-Budgeting
(BUB) Program for Fiscal Year 2017 deems it indispensable to approve the said
projects to pave way for the implementation of the same;
NOW,
THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Elena C. Dabu, with the majority
decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,
RESOLVED,
AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the
Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to approve as it hereby approves
the Bottom-Up-Budgeting (BUB) FY 2017 Projects of the City of Olongapo.
