A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
HONORABLE CITY MAYOR ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO, EXECUTE, AND SIGN IN
BEHALF OF GORDON COLLEGE (GC) FOR THE AMENDMENT MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA)
WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT REGION III (DSWD R-III)
FOR PARTNERSHIP IN IMPLEMENTATION OF THE “ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS
SITUATION” (AICS) FOR INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE IN A MANNER
CONSISTENT WITH LAW
WHEREAS,
Gordon College (GC) is a duly recognized institution by the Commission on Higher
Education, owned and managed by the City Government of Olongapo, represented by
Hon. Rolen C. Paulino, Chairman Board of Trustees;
WHEREAS,
the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region III is
a government agency created pursuant to existing laws of the Republic of the
Philippines, represented by Regional Director Gemma Gabuya;
WHEREAS, this Amendment Memorandum of
Agreement (MOA) is created to establish partnership in implementation of the
“Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation” (AICS) for individuals in need
of Educational Assistance;
WHEREAS, Department
of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Gordon College (GC) agreed to
extend the period of partnership in the implementation of the AICS;
WHEREAS, for and in consideration of the
foregoing premises and terms and conditions hereunder enumerated, the parties
hereby mutually agreed to amend the following section of the MOA to read as
follows:
“D. Effectivity of this agreement.
This
agreement shall take effect upon signing of the parties and shall terminate on
the 15th of September 2016 unless pre-terminated by either party for
non-compliance with any of the aforementioned rules and responsibilities on the
part of the other party.”

NOW,
THEREFORE, on
motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo II, with the majority decision of
the Members of the Sanggunian Panlungsod present;
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY
RESOLVED, by the
Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize as it hereby
authorizes the Honorable City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino to enter into, execute,
and sign in behalf of Gordon College (GC) for the Amendment Memorandum of
Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region
III (DSWD R-III) for partnership in
implementation of the “Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation”
(AICS) for individuals in need of
educational assistance in a manner consistent with law.
Let a copy of the Amended
Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and
Development Region III be made as integral part of the Resolution.
